2009 is nearly over....

Well I haven't updated on here for ages but have managed to get some tasks completed or at least started.

Family is going to be a very important part of 2010 because after living miles away from my Mum for the last 8 years we WILL be moving to Scotland to be near her. If for some reason the house doesn't sell then we'll have to rent it out, there is no way I'm ending 2010 in Preston.

So the important tasks in the following months are to see Mum as much as possible, spend time with my gorgeous nephew Alex and keep in contact with my Aunty Maureen.

Happy New Year everyone!

Christmas presents

I have just realised that thanks to my Mum getting me presents off my wish list I have items to help me complete the tasks.

9. I got a set of 3 baking tins, 2 cooling trays and a cake tester so no excuse now I have the tools!

13 & 14. Mum bought me some postcards and a writing set so got to get cracking with my post now.

Friday, 16 October 2009

I have now received 5 postcards from Germany, Australia, Belarus, China and Finland. I have also arranged to become penpals with the lady from Australia. I love getting a surprise in the post and can't wait for more!

Friday, 25 September 2009

Today I have sent my first 2 postcards through postcrossing and they have gone to Germany and Russia. Can't wait to receive one in return!

Thursday 24th September

I have now completed a couple of tasks the biggest completing my 101 list! Phew that was hard work getting through that.
I have joined Postcrossing and Bookcrossing so that's number 12 and 18 done. I'm really looking forward to getting on with some of the others now.

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

My 1001 days start on 22nd September 2009 and end on Tuesday 19th June 2012.

Tasks in this purple mean I have completed it or have started it.

Tasks in italics mean they are under way.
